Focusing on people
A neighborhood is vibrant not only because of the nice buildings and homes that are visible to us, but also because of the people that make it the place we call "neighborhood." That is why Lighthouse cares about people. Our Neighborhood Services Department's goal is to advance Lighthouse Communities’ focus on people development by providing residents, businesses and neighborhood groups with access to information and resources that can help increase their capacity, build their leadership, expand their opportunities to thrive, and promote a more vibrant community where families and their children attain a better quality of life.
Objectives
· Build the leadership skills of Southtown residents
· Increase the capacity of organized residents and community groups
· Empower residents and groups to enable them to make positive contributions to their neighborhoods
· Build a network of thriving resident and neighborhood-based groups who are actively engaged in the life of their neighborhoods and become self-sustainable
· Create opportunities for children and youth to utilize their potential for success while helping revive their neighborhoods
Please contact our Neighborhood Services Department for more information on our programs.
