Jeremy De Roo

Jeremy DeRoo has his Master's in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University and has been with Lighthouse Communities since 2002. DeRoo has spent most of his time at Lighthouse Communities as Operations Director where he oversaw the daily activities of the organization including primary responsibility for financial management. DeRoo was named Executive Director of the organization in July of 2008.  In this role DeRoo has helped secure and implement over $20 million of federal, state and privately funded programs. These programs have combined community planning and organizing with residential and commercial development in a collaborative approach. Along with making improvements to over 100 housing units a year, Lighthouse has utilized its management and administration capacity as a community housing organization to leverage resources for other community groups. In its current fiscal year Lighthouse has provided over $225,000 to community groups for non-development activities.
