Darel Ross II

A successful business owner, Darel joined the Lighthouse team as President in July 2008.  He served on the Lighthouse's Board of Directors for six years as Treasurer and has been an active member in the southeast community.  Darel is a homegrown product of Grand Rapids and a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School and Alabama A&M University.  Darel's passion for the community along with his local insight aligns perfectly with Lighthouse Communities' commitment to improving neighborhoods.  He understands that it's more than just the 'sticks and bricks,' true neighborhood revitalization is about the people of the areas we serve.

Darel's responsibilities include providing leadership for Lighthouse Communities as well as managing all aspects of people development of Lighthouse. Together with Jeremy DeRoo, Darel co-directs Lighthouse Communities and the strategic work we do in Grand Rapids and now in Kent County.  Darel will also oversee the Commercial Services and Construction Departments.
